چکیده
The energy generation from renewable sources is in prime focus not only oil-importing countries as well oil-exporting countries. This study aims to probe the (syngas) Saudi Arabian date palm fronds through air gasification a downdraft fixed-bed system. In addition, an equilibrium process simulation model was developed using Aspen Plus, and predicted results were compared with experimental results. Furthermore, mass flows of system also analyzed. parametric study, impact temperature (600–900 °C), particle size (2–6 mm), flowrate (1–4 l/min) investigated on syngas composition performance parameters higher heating value, gas yield, carbon conversion efficiency, cold efficiency. indicate that H2 concentration enhanced rise 12.12 26 vol.% 26.02 26.89 respectively. enrichment due activation endothermic reaction methane-reforming CH4 dropped up 12.6 vol% increased temperature. value syngas, efficiency have shown increasing profile flowrate. obtained found good agreement analysis shows highly consuming, most waste form condensate could be potentially utilized. will helpful for researchers commercial enterprises produce fronds.

Hydrogen-Rich Syngas Production from Gasification and Pyrolysis of Solar Dried Sewage Sludge: Experimental and Modeling Investigations
Solar dried sewage sludge (SS) conversion by pyrolysis and gasification processes has been performed, separately, using two laboratory-scale reactors, a fixed-bed pyrolyzer and a downdraft gasifier, to produce mainly hydrogen-rich syngas. Prior to SS conversion, solar drying has been conducted in order to reduce moisture content (up to 10%). SS characterization reveals that these biosolids coul...

A thermodynamic equilibrium model was developed to predict the gasification process in a bench-scale fluidized bed gasifier. Potato shoot (leaves and stems) was used as the feedstock of the gasifier. The experiments were done in five different gasification zone temperatures (650, 700, 750, 800 and 850°C), with a feeding rate of 0.166 kg/hour, and two equivalence ratios (ER: 0.2 and 0.25). T...
متن کاملGasification of plastic waste as waste-to-energy or waste-to-syngas recovery route
The disposal of plastic solid waste (PSW) has become a major worldwide environmental problem. New sustainable processes have emerged, i.e. either advanced mechanical recycling of PSW as virgin or second grade plastic feedstock, or thermal treatments to recycle the waste as virgin monomer, as synthetic fuel gas, or as heat source (incineration with energy recovery). These processes avoid land fi...

In this study, a reformer model simulation to use refinery (Farashband refinery, Iran) waste natural gas. In the petroleum and allied sectors where natural gas is being encountered (in form of associated gas) without prior preparation for its positive use, its combustion (which takes place in flares, an equipment through which they are being disposed) has become a great problem because of its a...
متن کاملAchieving waste to energy through sewage sludge gasification using hot slags: syngas production
To relieve the environmental issues of sewage sludge (SS) disposal and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission in China, we proposed an integrated method for the first time to simultaneously deal with these two problems. The hot slags below 920 °C could act as a good heat carrier for sludge gasification and the increasing CO2 concentration in CO2/O2 atmospheres enhanced the production of CO and H2 at 400...
